Phishing Detection
Phishing is a means for a cyber criminal to steal your personal identification. The goal is for them to trick you into handing over your personal information without any resistance. The most common way that people get phished, is through email.
Most often you can detect these threats by simply slowing down and watching for errors. If you examine the emails that you get from top to bottom, more often than not you can avoid being tricked.
Here are real world example(s) that I have received in my hotmail inbox.
Example One:
I share this with you so that you can learn from the small errors that totally give this scam away.
- I'll bet that HSBC does a heck of alot better job about the grammer that they use in a business email.
- Most Banks have a privacy policy that states that they will never ask for your personal information via email
- The most obvious error in this phishing effort is that I do not have any accounts with HSBC, period.

So, lets see if I understand this correct. For being 'one of the winning emails in the 2nd category' I win 1 Million Dollars , what was first place
Let's see about this foundation ... Google to the rescue.
It is not hard to see that this is a scam.
